ACTIVE PARTICIPATION AT MASS
What It Is and How to Attain It

One of the most important elements in the faith of any Catholic is participation in the Holy Sacrifice of the Mass on Sundays and Holy Days of Obligation. Unfortunately, for many their participation is less than active, full and fruitful because they are often not as well versed in the inexhaustible riches of the Mass as they could and should be. This book hopes to remedy that situation in part by presenting a brief but comprehensive overview and explanation of the various elements of the Mass and how the person in the pew can better relate to them so that their involvement is more personal, more prayerful and more rewarding. About the Author: Anthony M. Buono, the author of two other Alba House titles dealing with the liturgy and prayer (The Liturgy: Our School of Faith, 1982; and Praying With the Church, 1990) has devoted a good part of his professional life in the field of liturgical publishing. This book is an outgrowth of this experience coupled with a stint which he spent as the chairman of his local Parish Liturgy Committee and as a lay Catholic well aware of the problems and needs of the average person in the pew.
