      This is a master’s level course on the Gospel of Matthew. It represents a lifetime of scholarship and research by one of the world’s leading experts on the New Testament. Rev. Viviano is familiar with all the pivotal works on the Gospel but even more importantly knows personally the authors who wrote them. His ability to demonstrate how the faith and spirituality of the scholars influences their approach to the sacred scripture makes this program unique. He points out what and why the various protestant scholars stress certain passages and not others and shows how these differ from the numerous Catholic approaches.
