GABRIEL OF OUR LADY OF SORROWS

A brief biography of St. Gabriel of Our Lady of Sorrows (1838-1862), this is the story of a young Passionist student for the priesthood, who died at the age of 24 leaving an indelible mark on his generation and who has much to say to our own. This little book also contains a number of prayers seeking his intercession, a novena in his honor and a triduum based on the Liturgy of the Word.

About the Author: Gabriele Cingolani was born in Recanati (in the province of Macerata, Italy) in 1940. A Passionist missionary, he received his doctorate in theology from the Pontifical Gregorian University in Rome. A journalist, writer and lecturer, he has worked at Vatican Radio and in the Vatican Secretariat of State. Currently involved in the pastoral activities of his religious congregation in Canada, he has also served as Provincial Superior and founder of Passionist houses in Indonesia, Canada and India. He is the author of two other Alba House titles: Saint Gabriel Possenti, Passionist and He Loved Them to the End: Meditations on the Gospels of the Passions.
