El segundo lema de su pontificado se encuentra en la carta apostólica Dominum et vivificantem (Es Señor y da la vida, mayo 1986): "Mirar a todas las nociones" que caracteriza su lanzamiento misionero sin límites de espacio o de fe. Sus ansias ecuménicas lo llevan al tercer lema marcado por el sufrimiento: "En nombre de la Iglesia yo pido perdón por los errores, las infidelidades, las incoherencias y los retardos de los cuales se hicieron responsables los hijos de la Iglesia", decía esto en el milenio que estaba terminando. El cuarto lema llega con eldolor extremo: "Ofrezco mis sufrimientos para que el designio de Dios se compla y su palabra camine entre los pueblos". El libro narra todas las etapas del pontificado de Juan Pablo II, hacienda énfasis en las atapas más creaivas que son al menos cinco. La presente obra es una edición renovada de un trabajo del autor publicado anteriormente con el título Karol Wojtyla, el hombre más famoso del mundo. Luigi Accattoli, vaticanista del diario Corriere Della Sera y escritor, ha logrado trazar una biografía completa y bien documentada. La primera edición de esta biografía, reelaborada completamente, incluye la última fase del pontificado de Juan Pablo II. | John Paul II was the man of the XX century. He announces the first during the opening of his papal service on October 22,1978: "Open more and more the doors to Christ". The second quote is found in his apostolic letter Dominum et Vivificantem (He is the Lord and Giver of Life, May 1986): "Look at all the nations" which characterizes his missionary launching with no limits of space or faith. His ecumenical longing leads him to the third quote marked by suffering: "On behalf of the Church I ask forgiveness for the mistakes, infidelities, incoherencies and delays of which the children of the Church have become responsible", this he said towards the end of the millennium. The four quote appears with the extreme suffering: "I offer my suffering so that God's plan be fulfilled and his words can be spread among the nations." The present book accounts all the stages of the pontificate of John Paul II pointing out the most creative stages which are at least five. The present book is a revised edition of an author's earlier work published under the title, Karol Wojtaly, the Most Outstanding Man of the World.
