Description

Rev. Stephen J. Rossetti Fr. Rossetti addresses the stress, fears and anger that plague contemporary priests who often feel marginalized, disoriented and even denigrated. All are affected by the scandals, the anti-clerical bias of the media, and the vocation shortage. The finger pointing of who is to blame for the current situation feeds our fears, stokes our anger and makes positive change impossible.
He points out that the times in which we live are filled the Spirit: he shows priests how to get over a sense of victimization and to take responsibility for their lives and priesthood and in so doing defines the life of the Church of the future.
He points out how the priesthood, like God, is unfolding goodness, love and life that it is always new and yet always remains the same. He challenges the listener to remain faithful to the core of the consecrated service that never changes but to be open to the new ways of ministry that are emerging in the Church.
