QUESTIONS JESUS ASKED
Provisions For the Spiritual Journey

The reflections in this book are based on seven key questions that Jesus asked in the course of his public life and continues to ask us now. The chapters are designed to be reflective and meditative, not exegetical. Their purpose is to provide a resource for nurturing our spiritual life and enhancing our relationship with the Lord. They present the foundations for a spirituality of the question, a spirituality which is single-minded in seeking the Lord whose questions are always personal and pastoral. They touch the actual situation or condition of his listeners. Our responses to these questions from Jesus must come from the heart of our personal experience. Otherwise, they will not reflect our identity, our faith, and our hope. And, to the degree that they do not reflect the truth of our experience, to that degree our responses are not authentic. They will not mirror the full richness of the God in whose image and likeness we are created. They will not lead us to be ever more people of love.
