Aquinas for Everyone is a collection of passages, culled from the writings of the Angelic Doctor, in each of which the author answers a philosophical or theological question with the aid of an appropriate concrete image. As in his earlier works, Newman for Everyone (ST PAULS, 1996) and Augustine for Everyone (ST PAULS, 2002), Fr. Brady introduces us in a very novel way to the thought of perhaps the most creative thinker in the history of the Church. In doing so readers unacquainted with the technicalities of Thomistic Philosophy and Theology can discover for themselves the clarity, harmony and simplicity that characterize the writings of this great Scholastic theologian. At the same time, the reader will be introduced to the thought and methodology of the great Greek philosopher, Aristotle. It is hoped that, by examining these texts, many will be prompted to study seriously the Summa Theologiae, the classic work of this great saint.

Brady, SJ has lectured widely in the United States, Canada, England, and Russia. Having just recently retired from teaching at Rockhurst University in Kansas City, he presently resides with the Jesuit Community at St. Louis University in St. Louis, Missouri. This is his third book for ST PAULS.
